A Half Million Dollar Molecule- The Story Behind K&K

K&K Skin Products is repurposing a molecule discovered at the UNM School of Medicine that could transform the skincare industry.

Founders Katie Uilk and Kristina Trujillo, Ph.D. raised over half a million dollars in startup capital. And they're not just business partners. These sisters-in-law built their patented skin line in their home kitchen.

We captured Katie and Kristina during their last production run at home. They have since moved their operation into an organic commercial manufacturing facility in Taos, New Mexico. They released their new BioVer-X Serum in November, and were invited to share their products at the Oscars and Sundance Film Festival.
